We as a company are motivated by helping people to remain independent and providing the best possible service to all of our clients. We strive to make a difference to those to whom we care for and insure that the care we provide is value for money.
Our philosophy is to treat each person as an individual and that no two clients are the same. We work hard to make sure that we find the right carer for the right client. Recruiting the right members of staff is our number one priority to ensure that we provide the best possible service to our service users.
By focusing on the calibre of the people we employ, we hope that we can build a strong working relationship with our clients and minimise the upheaval of finding new quality care. All of our carers are handpicked and are employed directly by Kent Carers Ltd. They are screened to the highest standards and trained to cater for the needs of the people they are to care for.
Our service is designed to provide personal and flexible support for those who care for adults with physical and/or learning disabilities to help relieve the strain of full time care. We tailor each package to suit the needs of each client and we understand that a familiar face attending regularly is vital to the success of our support program. Therefore, we will endeavour to minimise any changes to the client’s routine unless previously agreed.
We operate a stringent recruitment program to ensure that all Personal Assistants meet the national quality standards and are in line with the National Minimum Care Standards. All staff are subject to the relevant checks and screened to the highest standard. We encourage and support our staff within their roles and actively seek to help them with their continuous professional development (CPD). Through regular supervision and appraisals we keep in close contact with our staff to maintain both the quality of the care they provide and their own motivation. Training our staff is a continuous process and all our Personal Assistants carry out dedicated training programmes appropriate to their client base.
Duties can include; befriending, shopping, swimming, hospital visits, attending parties and clubs, social group activities, meal preparation, personal care and any other reasonable tasks. The PA can also stay with the supported person to allow time for the main carers to relax, enjoy an outside interest or attend a social event.
We at Kent Carers pride ourselves on the level of service we provide to our clients. We carry out a client surveys annually to allow us to monitor our own performance. By listening to and acting upon the views of our service users we are continually evolving our service to meet and hopefully exceed the expectations of our service users.
We also carry out regular supervision and appraisals of all our Carers. We keep in close contact with our staff to maintain both the quality of the care they provide and their own motivation. Training our staff is a continuous process and all our Carers carry out dedicated training programmes appropriate to their client base.
